Description
2006 - digitalAt the beginning of the new year I was coming back from the riding school where my horse lives, and was going home. It was about 17.00; the day had been bright and deadly cold.
The snow was frozen but this Sun of fire was spreading his warm, furious light, in his last and failing attempt to reach the earth, beyond the layer of frost.
There was a balance, between fire and ice, becoming so similar to stillness, and yet the landscape was so lively.
I love the orange reflections on the snow waves.
I wonder if it has been a good idea to keep the sun in the centre of the picture. Some told me it should have been more on one side, but I feel it gives a sort of centre/balance to the whole picture, and if you look closely it's not perfectly centered, it's a bit on the right, and I think this balances the dark woods on the left. In the end, I'm happy with the composition of this pic... what do you think of it?
(By the way, prints up to A4 size are available!)

The foregrounds adds certainly to this composition.
Maybe crop it to have the sun off center?!
The landscape looks also slightly tilted to the left which could easily be corrected in post editing.

That is sort of a highland in an area of hills, and it's not perfectly flat... however it may look better if I put it horizontal...

I don't really like the way the website title is integrated. Takes away some of the spirit of this picture (my 2c)
